BranchCar respects your privacy. This policy explains how data is handled when you use branchcar.com and the country-specific vehicle applications connected to BranchCar and published on Google Play under the developer account Queen Cleopatra.

This policy applies to the website, App Mode pages displayed inside the applications, and native Android functions when they interact with BranchCar.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

2. Data we handle

Account and profile data

• Name, email address and login identifier.
• Password credentials stored as protected password hashes rather than readable passwords.
• Phone and WhatsApp numbers when you provide them.
• Seller description, profile image/logo, country, city and contact-visibility preference.
• Session and authentication-token data needed to keep you signed in.

Listing data

When you create or edit a vehicle listing, we may store the listing title and description, price, year, mileage, transmission, make and model, selected country and city, vehicle photos and media, and contact information you choose to make available to buyers.

Activity within the service

We may store information needed to provide favorites, saved searches and alerts, followed sellers, account notifications, support requests and complaints, and verification or listing-limit functions when you use them. A limited list of recently viewed listings is stored locally in your browser.

Technical and security data

Our website and server systems may record IP address, request date and time, requested page/path/query, browser and User-Agent information, response status, technical errors, and login or password-reset attempts and rate-limiting information. We use this information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service and reduce abuse.

Android app and device data

The Android applications use internet and network-state access to communicate with BranchCar. Depending on the feature you choose, the app may request camera access to take vehicle photos, photo/media access to select existing images, and notification permission to display alerts.

BranchCar does not rely on precise GPS tracking or continuous background location tracking. Country and city are selected through the service taxonomy. Google Play Services may process technical information about the device and app under Google's policies.

3. Data stored locally

The Android app may keep user ID, name/email, authentication token and expiry, and cached favorite listing IDs in its private app storage. WebView uses cookies and DOM storage to support sign-in and interactive pages. Local data can be removed by logging out, completing account deletion where applicable, or clearing app data in Android settings.

• Account creation, authentication and profile management.
• Publishing, displaying and managing vehicle listings.
• Buyer-seller communication.
• Favorites, saved searches, follows and notifications.
• Customer support, complaint handling and content moderation.
• Security controls, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
• Remembering country, language and browsing preferences.
• Serving and measuring advertising on web pages when enabled, and recording privacy/advertising consent where required.

5. Information you make public

BranchCar is a classifieds marketplace. Information intentionally published by users may be visible to visitors, including listing title, description, photos and vehicle attributes, seller name, profile image/logo and seller description, and the country/city associated with the listing or profile.

Phone and WhatsApp details may be shown to buyers when the seller allows this. Sellers can use the contact-privacy setting to suppress those details from unauthenticated visitors according to current service behavior. Do not include personal information in a listing or public profile that you do not want to make public.

6. Third parties

Google AdSense — web pages

BranchCar uses Google AdSense on selected web pages to display and measure advertising. Google may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device identifiers, cookies, visited page and browsing context in accordance with Google's policies. AdSense is currently disabled in BranchCar App Mode.

Google Consent Management Platform

Web pages use Google's consent platform to manage privacy and advertising choices in regions where consent is required. The platform may store consent choices and technical information needed to honor them.

Google Play Services

The Android applications use Google Play Services for Android/Google Play functionality. Google may process device and app information under its own privacy policy.

External links

If you choose to place a phone call, open WhatsApp or follow an external link, processing moves to the external application or service you selected and that provider's privacy practices apply.

7. Cookies and local storage

BranchCar uses cookies and local storage needed to operate the service, including branchcar-session for login/session management, XSRF-TOKEN for CSRF protection, branchcar_market to remember the selected country, branchcar_last_visit for visit continuity, and branchcar_recent_views to retain a limited number of recently viewed listings on your device.

The current web-session inactivity lifetime is up to 120 minutes, and the selected market may persist for up to one year. Google CMP and Google AdSense may set consent and advertising cookies or identifiers on web pages according to your choices and Google's policies.

8. Data retention and deletion

• Account and profile data: retained while the account is active and deleted when account deletion is completed under the service process.
• Web sessions: current inactivity lifetime is 120 minutes.
• Password-reset tokens: currently valid for up to 60 minutes and cleared after successful use.
• Pre-publication draft media: automatically expires after approximately 24 hours when no longer needed.
• Favorites, saved searches, follows, notifications and account-linked complaints: retained until removed where the feature supports deletion or until account deletion.
• Inactive listings: may remain in the database so sellers can manage listing history.
• Historical listings: BranchCar maintains a historical archive for market reference and price analytics.
• Published listing images: may remain with historical listing records until removed by administrative maintenance.
• Application and server logs: used for security and troubleshooting. There is currently no single automatic retention period configured in application code; logs may remain until rotated or removed during server maintenance.
• Data processed by Google or another third party is also subject to that provider's retention and deletion practices.

9. Account and data deletion

BranchCar provides account-deletion access from the web and app. Web deletion pages: Arabic and English.

Once an account deletion request is accepted, the service removes account/profile records, active sessions, favorites, saved searches, follows, notifications, complaints and the profile-avatar file associated with the account. The current deletion process may require the user's listings to be handled before final account removal. Some historical listing records, published images or operational logs may remain as described above.

10. Data security

We use technical measures including HTTPS, password hashing, secure session cookies including HttpOnly where applicable, CSRF protection, authentication/authorization controls and rate limits for sensitive functions. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect data in a manner appropriate to the service.

11. Your choices and controls

Depending on available features, you can edit your profile, hide contact details, remove favorites and saved searches, unfollow sellers, manage camera/photo/notification permissions in Android settings, manage cookie and advertising consent where the interface is shown, log out or clear locally stored app data, and request account deletion.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when BranchCar features, data practices, platform requirements or service providers change. We will update the Last updated date when a material change is made.
